Due to the historical separation of the two regions north and south of the Babia Góra massif there has been no public transport connection between the two sides. Today, hikers enjoy to trek from the one side of the mountain to the other passing the ridge or the peak of Babia Góra. To do so, hikers only could reach the entrance points of the National Park by car and had to return the same way in order to get back to the parking lot.
To provide a sustainable means of transport and at the same time enhance the visitor experience, a local bus line was established that serves the different entering points of the tourist trails and other points of interest three times a day in the summer season.
The service is not only attractive for tourists but also for local people that go for hiking, mushroom and berry picking.
