The study aimed at mapping the interaction between tourism and environment, indentifying the carrying capacity and determining sensitive areas and issues.
Surveys, data collections and interviews were conducted to evaluate the tourism infrastructure of the settlements in the buffer zone of the biosphere reserve, the economic role of tourism in the life of the settlements and the residences’ attitude towards tourism.
Based on the results the ecological carrying capacity for the investigated areas was estimated and endangered areas were identified.
