AG 1: Indicators of sound tourism and monitoring system

The first step of establishing a monitoring system for tourism impacts on biodiversity in the Biosphere Reserve Aggtelek was to develop a set of indicators for sustainable tourism. To identify appropriate indicators, yearly surveys have been carried out since 2005.

The data analysis has been used for the development of further strategies that aim at making tourism in the biosphere reserve more sustainable.
